President’s Message
A Message From CPP President, David S. Cantor
I’m honored to serve as President of the Collaborative Professionals of Phoenix.
In my work as a forensic accountant, I often meet people during some of the most difficult transitions in their lives. Many of those situations have already escalated into conflict, and the process of working through them can become more stressful, more time-consuming, and more expensive than anyone expected.
Collaborative practice offers a different path.
It gives families the opportunity to work through issues with the support of a team, in a way that is more private, more respectful, and more focused on long-term outcomes. When done well, it allows people to move forward with greater clarity and less conflict.
That is the foundation of what we do at CPP.
Our role as an organization is to support the professionals who guide clients through this process, including attorneys, financial specialists, and mental health professionals. We are committed to ongoing education and practical training so that collaborative teams are well-equipped to help clients navigate complex decisions with confidence.
At the same time, we want more people to be aware that this option exists. Many families simply do not realize there is an alternative to litigation. Increasing that awareness is an important part of our work.
For our members, that means providing meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and strengthen their collaborative skills. For clients, it means access to a network of professionals who are committed to a more constructive and thoughtful approach.
We are building on a strong foundation, and I look forward to continuing that work alongside this community.
