As an independent financial planner with over 20 years of experience, my business involves assisting clients with the areas of budgeting, risk evaluation, investments, taxes, retirement planning and estate planning. I am a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Planner, each requiring continued education in divorce analysis and financial planning. In 2012, I decided to expand the focus within my financial planning practice to include helping clients deal with the challenging financial issues of divorce and help them avoid common financial mistakes made during the process. Divorce can be the most emotionally and financially devastating period in someone's life and is typically the largest financial transaction most people will ever experience. I provide education and support during the difficult decision making process in order to help clients make rational and informed decisions that are in alignment with their dissolution goals.

I have practiced in family law for over 12 years. I became interested in the collaborative process as I watched the legal process fail many families in a variety of ways. I believe that this is the future of family law. The process of litigation is similar to a rickety wooden roller coaster that may never come to a complete stop. In litigation the parties have very little, if any, control of the outcome. The collaborative process is the better process that places the outcome in the hands of the participants.
I generally charge a lower hourly rate than I do in litigation. I am open, under certain circumstances, to offer a flat fee.
For collaborative clients or potential collaborative clients I currently do not charge for an initial consultation.
